Thursday, March 20, 2003 get you!
so, yes, i am employed. finally! i first got a job at this place called west, which is an inbound telemarketing job. you know all those infomercials on tv for products and "operators are standing by"? well, that job was the operators. it was such an easy job, but you'd be on the phone all day long. it was way too irritating at the training because the fucking morons couldn't grasp the concept of reading a goddamn script on the screen, and taking name, address, and other information and repeating it back to the customers. how fucking stupid do you have to be to not be able to do that.
so one of the housemates asked me if i wanted to work at ted & wally's (an ice cream shop that him, another roommate, and a lot of our friends work at), so i said yeah. then i got a call from another place, jane's health market and deli, who our friend kira (who also works at ted & wally's) referred me. so i got that job full tim and ted & wally's part time.
both jobs are super dice. the health store one i'm a cook, and i can make stuff for the menu. it's super cool; it's like having your own kitchen, with unlimited vegetarian ingredients and cooking stuff. it's a total chill job.
war! i just thought i'd put that in here since every thing i hear and every article in the paper has to mention it. just pick up a paper, look at a random article. somewhere in it it mentions the war. no kidding... even the stock market. it boosted up because of the, then, impending war.
