Monday, September 22, 2003 get you! so this past friday was probably the best nights in a long time. all started when i got home from work, our roommate was making chili for us all. then after that, we all walked to the old market to meet up with my boss and her friends to get drunk. all the places we wanted to go to were closed, so we ended up going to the upstream. then we walked to sokol for the q and not u show. show was bomb. we got there just in time for the last two songs of antelope. then, we got more drunk. then black eyes came on. we were all looking forward to see these guys. they played at our buddy's place a few months back, and that was an excellent show. actually, from what i remembered of it - i was completely drunk off my ass. so they came on, played, rawked, and we danced. it was pretty cool, our whole crew was right up there dancing. q and not u played, and the rawked also. so after the show, we all headed back to our place and the bands-minus q and not u-came over. there were a ton of people over, all drunk off their asses! i passed out on the couch but woke up in the morning, freezing, and headed to my room. one of the guys was sleeping on the pool table. i was going to wake him and tell him to get off, but just went to my room and crashed. ps: the drummer/bassist for antelope looks like bruce campbell in army of darkness when he chose the wrong book and got sucked in, and his chin was stretched out.
